Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH
Messe Frankfurt supports exhibitors by opening up international markets for their products. As one of the world’s leading trade show organisers, we serve our customers locally in around 180 countries around the globe. Before, during and after the trade fair, we are attentive hosts who take excellent care of our exhibitors, visitors and guests – everywhere in the world.
Our tradition and our vision are the foundations for what could be called a global artisan workshop. Our successful trade fairs are the result of careful craftsmanship and the outstanding dedication of our employees. Some 2,200* experts around the world make each of our trade fairs a one-of-a-kind event. All members of our team contribute their own valuable expertise. At each venue, the event is carefully planned, prepared and implemented. As a global artisan workshop, Messe Frankfurt unites the highest quality with proximity and international orientation – at every trade fair, be it with one of our 28 global subsidiaries, over 50 international Sales Partners or at our headquarters in Frankfurt.
Our organisation exemplifies internationalism. Messe Frankfurt is present in around 180 countries with its brands and brand families. Some 150 “Made by Messe Frankfurt” events are held at more than 50 locations around the globe. Our company is publicly owned, with the City of Frankfurt holding 60 percent and the State of Hesse 40 percent. Frankfurt am Main has always been and will continue to be our home. Messe Frankfurt is expanding its expertise in defined international industry sectors in line with its corporate strategy. These are: Building Technologies, Safety, Security & Fire, Environmental Technologies, Textile Care, Cleaning & Cleanroom Technologies, Food Technologies, Electronics & Automation Technologies, Manufacturing Technologies & Components, Event & Entertainment Technologies, Consumer Goods, Textiles & Textile Technologies and Mobility & Logistics. Messe Frankfurt’s events and communication platforms lead their respective sectors.
Frankfurt is the base of the Messe Frankfurt Group. It is here that industry sector flagship events such as Automechanika, Light + Building, IFFA, ISH, Prolight + Sound and Texcare are held. The consumer goods industry comes together in Frankfurt for Ambiente, Christmasworld and Creativeworld, while the Group’s portfolio of textile fairs includes Heimtextil, Techtextil and Texprocess.
A great many guest and congress organisers also use the Frankfurt exhibition grounds for their events. These include for example the Frankfurt Book Fair, ACHEMA, CPhI, Food Ingredients, IMEX and a broad cross-section of international congresses, conferences and other events. Finally, Messe Frankfurt offers a wide spectrum of analogue and digital services ranging from logistics and stand construction to marketing and food services.
Located at the heart of financial and business centre Frankfurt, the exhibition grounds are among the largest and most modern worldwide with some 372,000 m² of hall area and almost 67,000 m² of free space at their disposal. With the Congress Center, the Forum, the Festhalle and Kap Europa, the company offers a wide range of extremely flexible locations for individual solutions above and beyond its trade fair halls. A full-service portfolio with individual consulting and one of the most state-of-the-art infrastructures of any trade fair company worldwide make it an ideal venue for events. Thanks to their excellent infrastructure, Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region have very good international connections and can be reached easily from anywhere in the world.
Sustainability is a central pillar of Messe Frankfurt’s corporate strategy.
In past years, the Group has undertaken a series of voluntary commitments relating to sustainability, such as the United Nations Global Compact, the Charter of Diversity and the ‘fairpflichtet’ sustainability code. In 2022, Messe Frankfurt completed an ESG rating (Environmental, Social and Governance) for the first time and was awarded a bronze medal. As well as supporting the sustainability initiatives of sector associations AUMA and UFI, the company has signed the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge. As part of its ongoing sustainability campaign, Messe Frankfurt aims to obtain a certificate for the internationally recognised environmental management system EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) by the end of 2023. According to EMAS, this means that Messe Frankfurt will be the first company in the German trade fair sector to introduce this system.
